Tank's Story

Tank is just a year old and incredibly well-behaved for a puppy. During his time in foster he is living near the Bishop Arts District, getting used to being a city dog alongside his foster brother who is also a Great Pyrenees mix. He is super loving, very sweet, and the perfect boy for someone looking for an active and easygoing companion.

Things Tank is already great at...

-Riding in the car

-Walking on a leash

-Getting a bath

-Visiting the vet for a check-up

-Greeting strangers including small children

-Going potty outside and not marking

-Using his slow feeder at meal times

-Taking pills with some peanut butter

-Chewing on raw treats and chew toys

-Sleeping in his crate overnight with no accidents

-On-leash greetings with approved, friendly dogs

-Going through the car wash

-Dog friendly patios and coffeeshops

-Snuggling after a long day of activity

Things Tank needs help with as a big puppy...

-Relaxing happily in his crate or on tether at home

-Taking breaks from rough play with other playful dogs

-Practicing commands beyond “sit” and “come”

-Maintaining neutrality when encountering other dogs out on walks

-Managing his medium-level prey drive when it comes to cats and squirrels

Tank would do well in a home with dogs or where he is the only pup but he definitely needs a home where there's activity and attention galore.
