Hi my name is Tammy and I am a snuggler! I'm about 1 year old and 50 pounds. I was found with my sister wondering in a local park in KY. No one came to claim us at the shelter which is how we both found rescue in NY. I am a girl who craves attention. I want to be with people, even if you are a stranger, I will quickly make friends with you. Most people will think because of my listed breed, which is only a guess since a DNA test was not done I will be a protector and guard dog.....HAHAHA!!! I would lick an intruder to pieces! I am a lover and a kisser!! People, dogs, doesn't matter. Mom keeps telling me I need to learn to keep my tongue to myself which I admit I have done a really good job at but I'm not guaranteeing anyone you won't get Tammy kisses. I would do well with older kids, mom thinks crying babies might make be nervous, besides older kids will want to love on me and I am always up for being loved on. I run and wrestle with the other dogs that I'm living with, but if I had my choice of my forever home it would definitely be with just people. I figured out the dog door by watching the other dogs. I didn't like it when they would go outside without me or go in leaving me waiting for mom to open up the door. The dog door helped me tremendously with housebreaking. I know I'm supposed to go outside to do my business and will go out by myself. If you don't have a dog door we will have to work out a schedule. I've been doing great in my crate while everyone is gone to work, which is about 6 hours. I haven't had much experience walking on a leash, but I know that will come because I will always want to be with you. I am very food motivated so training should be easy for us. I'm currently living with a very dog savvy cat but I'm still curious about him. I would like a fenced in backyard. I'm not a girl for a dog park, too much going on there would make me anxious.
