Tammy's Story

Hello, I'm Tammy, a playful pup who's still just a baby! I'm a goofy girl about 5 months old and I weigh 33 pounds right now, but I am sure to get bigger. The nice volunteers here at the rescue say I am a little cutie and I'm always craving closeness and affection. I can't wait to have a family that loves me.

You can tell I really want to please you, always looking to see if you think I am being good girl, I know I'll make my future family very proud with my good behavior. I already know how to "sit", and I'm working on redirecting my playful mouthiness to toys instead of hands and arms — I'm a quick learner, I promise! I love to play, especially fetch, and I'll happily bring the toy back to you and I'm also a pro at relinquishing my toys when it's time to stop playing. Did I mention I have the cutest play bows too!

I'm still working on building my confidence, but with love, structure and leadership, I know I'll thrive and grow into the most wonderful best friend.

I have a happy, loose approach with other dogs, but also a little unsure. I will keep looking to you for safety. I seem to lack experience and confidence with other dogs, I am just more drawn to people right now. But if there is another friendly dog in the home, I would love to give it a try and maybe have a buddy.

With my goofy nature and playful spirit, I just know we would have fun together. I can't wait to find my forever home and share all of the love I have to give. I will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old.

If you are interested in Tammy and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
