TAMARA-Awesome Animal's Story

****We are Huts for Mutts-Hamilton Dog Rescue, Hamilton, TX. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. We are in Texas, and we transport our dogs North because Texas is overflowing with unwanted dogs.
All of our dogs are vaccinated and on preventatives. Dogs older than six months are spayed or neutered.
Huts for Mutts has been in operation for nearly 20 years, providing free spay/neuter to low-income residents of Hamilton, and doing our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected or abused dogs. Our website is currently undergoing a major overhaul and is currently unavailable. If you are interested in learning more about our organization, or any of our dogs, please send an email to h4mpounddogs@gmail.com ****

TAMARA is LOCATED in HICO, TX

Want a young dog to be your best friend for the rest of her life? She's an ~1 year-old, 34lbs., spayed female, Rottweiler?, we aren't sure, mix. She's up to date on vaccines, rabies, and is heartworm negative, and is on preventatives for parasites. She has been trained to use a doggie door.

Tamara is good with most other dogs but recently got into a little tussle, with her sister, Tia, while confined in the same kennel after their spay surgeries. This was not in any way aggressive behavior, she was just letting Tia know, she was sore and tired and didn't want to play right then. There was no biting or fur flying.

Tamara loves people and will likely be fine around children, but she can be a little shy at first. Tia lacks confidence on leash but is getting better the more we walk her.

Tamara is a great young dog, who just needs a loving home and a patient person to help boost her confidence.
