Meet Tallulah (Tally)
I show off my training progress and smarts through cues like licking the face, pressing a "potty" button, or bells on the door to indicate when I need to go out. I've learned to use talking dog buttons and have my own set of cues, including "hungry", "potty", "chew", and "I love you".
I'm comfortable in my crate for up to 4 hours and often chooses to sleep in it voluntarily. I'd adjust well to shared walls and while a fence is ideal for any pup, I have good recall and can be able to manage off-leash play in safe spaces with training. I'd make a great addition to an active family but would be happy wherever I get regular exercise, or even better, enrichment activities. I especially love activities such as dog sports and agility but a hike or walk will keep me happy. My confidence has flourished after initially coming to rescue slightly fearful, I've become the best of companions now enjoying car rides, baths and even vet visits.
I've done well with kids but like with any pup, do best with introductions as I don't currently live with younger folks. I can be selective with some dogs, but I get along with my foster brother and could be able to adapt well with the right canine family members. I can be reactive to animals like squirrels, so cats are likely a no go. A meet-and-greet and intros would help determine whether we'd be a perfect match.
I am currently on Prozac for some mild anxiety, which also helps manage my energy, but overall am perfectly healthy and ready for my forever home. With my love for exercise I can also benefit from some medication after strenuous activity to prevent limping but am overall easy to manage and a loving, happy pup ready for anything.
