Taleah

Taleah is five months old, approaching 50 pounds, and apparently still working on the expansion plans. She is a Basset Hound/Great Pyrenees mix, which means she is feeling Basset while looking mostly Great Pyrenees, with a few structural decisions that suggest the two departments were not communicating.

She is extremely loving, a touch shy, and very interested in being snuggled on the couch for as long as your schedule and circulation permit. She has zero known enemies, although the leash is under investigation.

For a puppy, Taleah is relatively mellow. There are occasional bursts of play, followed by long stretches of laziness during which she recovers from the effort of having participated. She rides well, has almost mastered “sit,” and is not yet qualified to supervise your expensive shoes without adult oversight.

Taleah is great with people and other dogs and fine with cats. Given her size and the fact that she is still growing into both her body and her judgment, we prefer kids over six. She would love a dog friend to help her settle in and explain how things work.

In return, she brings considerable expertise in looking sad. Taleah can produce the expression of a dog who has never been loved while actively being loved by someone who has rearranged their entire afternoon to accommodate her. She is willing to share this technique with a new friend in exchange for information on who distributes snacks and how easily they fold.

This is a sweet, affectionate girl who needs a family happy to make room for a very large puppy with a very soft heart. Also room on the couch. That part is important.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/ and then email tiffany.weaver@bigfluffydogs.com. Please be sure to do the application in addition to emailing the coordinator as the application will get a response.

All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing.
