Taco's Story

Meet Taco! Taco was surrendered to our rescue when her mom could no longer financially care for her. Taco was 20lbs when she came to our rescue. She is now 13 pounds! She loves running around the backyard of her foster's house. She is playing with all the foster dogs. She loves to hang out on a soft blanket and get belly rubs. She will play with toys if you toss them to her. Taco is a little yappy when she first meets someone new but calms down quickly. She walks well on a leash too! Taco is looking for a family that will help her continue on her weight loss journey. Taco had a dental and sadly she lost all of her teeth. 8 years old and no teeth! She had bloodwork done and it all came back good. Taco is spayed neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and4DX(tick/heartworm test) negative. Taco is approximately 8 years old and weighs 13 pounds. Paw Posse Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

All potential adopters fill out an application. If we feel based off the application that they may be a good fit we do a phone interview. If that goes well we do a meet and greet. If there are other dogs involved they are included in the meet and greet. If that goes well we move to the home inspection. If they pass we can process the application. Sometimes dogs don't mesh the first time meeting. We will set up additional meet and greets for the dogs. There may be things in their home that we ask them to change (storage box by a fence, lock on the gate, barrier at the front door). Once we verify these items repaired/in place we will approve the application. We follow up with our adopters regularly. We ask for updated photos and help with any concerns they may be having.
