Sydney's Story

**AVAILABLE for adoption!**

Sydney is an 8-10 mo old spayed female Border Collie/ Cattle Dog mix. I believe her to be Piper's puppy. She made the long journey North from an overcrowded high kill shelter in Burley, Idaho where they were at capacity and there was no place for her and her friends that were dumped there to go. We stepped in and saved these two.

Sydney is an adventurous pup with lots of energy. She's incredibly smart and eager to learn, although she seems to know no commands at this time. She sticks to you like glue outside and really wants to be where you are. She will give the cats a chase if they run, but if they don't, she's curious and maybe just wants to play with him. She's a little bit afraid of the horses. I've had her hiking and her off lead recall is pretty good. I do have to use the vibration mode on the collar and it gets her attention if she sees a squirrel or something. She has lots of life ahead of her and just needs somebody to teach her how to be the best companion dog she can be! She's just drop dead gorgeous and has the most sunny, friendly personality you would ever want to see. She is never met a stranger and she gets along great with other dogs. She's not shy or skittish. She stays in the fence nicely and doesn't try to get out. She would make an excellent Pacific Northwest, outdoor, hiking, camping and exploring partner! She currently weighs 30 lb. I suspect she will be a 35 to 40 lb dog eventually.
