When he first arrived, Syd was scared of the world and unsure of people—but beneath that fear, we saw something special... and we were right.<br/><br/>Just days ago, Syd allowed his very first gentle pets. He wasn’t quite convinced yet—but he’s trying, and that’s what makes him so easy to root for. Each day, he’s getting a little braver, a little softer, and a little more curious about the love around him.<br/><br/>These days, you’ll find Syd quietly exploring the house or enjoying his new favorite hobby: stretching out for cozy naps on the couch like he’s been doing it forever. It’s in these small moments that his personality starts to shine.<br/><br/>Syd spent his entire life in a puppy mill, so everything about being a dog in a home is brand new to him. Because of this, he’s not quite ready for adoption just yet. Over the coming months, we’ll be helping him learn all the basics—house training, leash walking, and most importantly, how to trust and feel safe.<br/><br/>His journey is just beginning, and it’s going to be a beautiful one to watch.
