Sweetness Collie & Great Pyrenees Mix Cincinnati, OH

Meet Sweetness! Her name says it all. A playful one year old Collie Pyrenees mix that will bring 86 pounds of love and excitement to your family.

Sweetness is looking for an active home where she will thrive with lots of attention, play and exercise. She loves children, and his been kid tested, mother approved of 4 children aged 6-13. Sweetness has had basic obedience training and knows the sit-stay-come, and leave it command. Her size needs to be acknowledged with younger kids in the family. She hasn’t been socialized enough with smaller humans. All children need to realize that teasing would not be appropriate, especially around food, treats or toys.

She is fostered with 6 dogs. Sweetie enjoys the rough and tumble play with her Pyrenees fosters, but she is also jealous. She would have to be fed separate. She can be an “in your face” dog and smaller dogs do not seem to appreciate that quality. It would have to be a big kind dog with matching energy to be able to coexist and match Sweetness’s demeanor. All canine introductions would have to be slow, taking place over days. Sweetness would probably flourish as an only child. She craves attention and praise. She is very slowly learning how to share toys and bones.

Sweetness finds the felines intriguing, and will play and chase. Probably the best fit for her would be a no cat household.
Sweetness loves to take walks, but needs a little more training on the leash. She can pull hard with that big body when she approaches other dogs or people she wants to meet. She is walked every day and with practice is learning to enjoy the great outdoors without pulling.

Sweetness, as part Collie, would love a fenced in yard to play, run and work. After daily exercise, mental stimulation, one-on- one games, she does love to cuddle. As part Great Pyrenees, Sweetness will guard you and your home . Sweetness loves being near her humans and that makes her quite happy. Sweetness doesn’t know her size and loves to lay her big silky body right on your lap. She sleeps in a crate and is quiet all night. Sweetness is completely housebroken.

Her foster family will continue to socialize her. Additional training is always good with a young big dog. Sweetness, like any rescue, will make a great family addition with love and patience. Her adoption fee is $250.

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
