Hi, I'm Sweet Pea — and let me tell you, the name fits! I'm a 14-year-young German Shepherd mix with the heart and pep of a 5-year-old. For seven months after my person passed away, I stayed loyal to the home we shared, guarding it with my best friend Junior until the state said we had to go. I was scheduled for something called euthanasia, but Barkin' Barn Animal Rescue swooped in and gave me a second chance. Now, I'm hoping for my forever home — maybe with you? I'm gentle on the leash, love car rides, and if you give me a belly rub or a tasty treat, I’ll be your best friend forever. I know how to sit, and I’m told I give excellent cuddles. I’ll be spayed before adoption, but right now, I’m just dreaming of a soft bed, kind hands, and someone to love again. Could that someone be you?
