Sweetie Pie's Story

Meet Sweetie Pie!

Sweetie Pie is a 2-year-old, 10-pound Maltese with a heart that's much bigger than he is. This adorable little guy was found as a stray in Charlotte with a completely limp front leg, but despite everything he's been through, he hasn't let it dim his joyful spirit for a second.

After a veterinary evaluation, it was determined that Sweetie Pie has no nerve function in his front right leg, so he'll be having it amputated next week. While he's under anesthesia, he'll also be neutered. This surgery is expected to help him live a happier, more comfortable life-and if his personality is any indication, he'll be back to zooming around in no time! Dogs are incredibly resilient, and three-legged pups often don't let their missing limb slow them down one bit.

Sweetie Pie's favorite place in the world is wherever his people are. He's incredibly affectionate and happiest curled up in your lap, soaking up every cuddle he can get. He's a true companion who just wants to love and be loved.

He's also making great progress with both crate training and potty training, sleeps soundly through the night, and has a healthy appetite. Sweetie Pie loves other dogs, enjoys kids, and has a playful, youthful energy that makes him a delight to be around. Whether it's playtime, snuggle time, or simply following you from room to room, he's all in.

Sweetie Pie has already overcome so much, and now he's ready for the next chapter: finding a family who will see him for the happy, loving dog he is.

If you've been looking for a loyal best friend with endless love to give, Sweetie Pie is ready to steal your heart!
