Susan was saved by our sister shelter in Arkansas. Susan and her 3 siblings were surrendered one evening when it was 3 degrees and the pups were freezing outside. The shelter volunteers quickly brought them inside and took care of them. Susan has been transferred to our rescue and is being fostered in South Portland, Maine.
She is a sweet pup who loves to play, give kisses, and snuggle. She weighs 31 pounds. Estimated date of birth: 10/29/22
Susan is doing great in her Maine foster home. She loves snuggling with the other dogs! She is a love bug. Her foster family has nicknamed her Suzy-Q! Here’s an update from her foster dad:
She is a SUPER sweet puppy. She loves every dog and person she has met so far.
She is VERY food motivated. Makes training easier.
She loves to be held and will curl up and fall asleep in my arms all the time.
She has done great on walks.
She sleeps in her kennel through the night with no accidents.
If I take her outside on a regular schedule she doesn’t have any accidents in the house. And she has learned where to go to be let outside.
She is a very smart puppy. Â
She is all about Lily (resident dog) and will lay on or next to her any chance she gets. I think she would love to be with another female dog a couple years old. But will be fine with any dog.
She has met a cat and didn’t do much but bark a few times since she didn’t know what it was.
She does great in a vehicle.
If she starts to chew on something she shouldn’t I just give her a bone and she is content.
Anyone who adopts her will be very lucky as she is a little love bug ?
