Meet Sunnie in NC - Loves Car Rides & Ear Rubs!

The stunning and sweet Sunnie is ready for her furever home! She has the typical Pyr personality, laid-back and mellow, plus a deep love for cuddling her humans! Show knows no strangers, and approaches people in a calm lackadaisical manner, allowing anyone and everyone to stroke her soft and fluffy fur! She's proving to be a smart cookie, as she's learning all sorts of commands from her foster humans, such as "sit," "come," "lie down," and "go to bed." Sunnie has a cute little playfulness about her when she sees a ball bounce - she hops up and plops both paws on the ground as if she’s witnessing something extraordinary (each and every time!). This silly playfulness also appears when she’s goofing around with other dogs, and sprinting full-force across the yard. This special lady walks well on leash and is crate trained, but what she really wants you to know is that she LOVES sticking her face out of the car window and feeling the wind in her hair! After the thrill of a car ride, she enjoys kicking back on the porch for a good session of people-watching. Even better if others want to join her and bring a spoonful of peanut butter! Sunnie has tons of love to give and will accept thrice that from her human, so she urges you to prep yourself for giving countless ear rubs, and apply today!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
