Sunflower's Story
**Sunflower is a manager approval adoption. These adoptions can only be completed Tuesday-Sunday from 1 to 4 PM. She is still available to meet on the weekends!**

Meet Sunflower!
Sunflower is a 2 year old spayed Chihuahua mix. We aren't quite sure what she's mixed with, as she's quite large for a Chihuahua mix at 21 pounds. What we do know, though, is that this sweetheart is an absolute beauty!
Unfortunately, Sunflower's past has a lot of unknowns. She initially came to us as a stray a few months back, and was adopted very quickly before we had time to fully get to know her. For months she lived happily with her adoptive family, but out of the blue she started biting a few of their family members. It got to the point where they could not safely keep her anymore. This history of biting is what led to her being a management-approval adoption. She will need to go to a home with a securely fenced yard, and she cannot live with any other pets or small children.
We haven't been able to pinpoint what led to Sunflower unexpectedly biting in her previous home, and we have not had any similar instances at the shelter. She can be timid with new people and will run from those she isn't comfortable with yet, but once she trusts you, she is such a lovebug! Sunflower loves belly rubs more than anything in the world, and she enjoys showing off her "zoomies" to her favorite people!
Sunflower is up to date on her vaccinations, and she has done a phenomenal job of keeping her kennel clean out at the shelter. If you think SUnflower could be the pup for you, come out and meet her today!
