Sunday's Story

Sunday

Sunday is a Female Basset/Lab mix (Bassador)
DOB: November of 2025
Adoption fee: $200

My face is all Labrador, but my body tells a different story. I have the body of a Basset Hound. I currently weigh 40 pounds at roughly 6 months of age. I am a beautiful girl with lots of potential. My breed is not for a novice owner. I would do my best with a family with breed experience. I may be a little nervous at first but will warm up quickly once I have had time to decompress.

I had never been on a leash prior to arriving at the shelter. I am cooperating but hesitant still. I will require a physically fenced yard to keep me safe and most of all happy. I am not fit for apartment life. Pending a meet and greet, I should match with another dog. I have not been introduced to cats at this time. I would do my best with children 8 years and older pending observed interaction.

I love pets and play time. Squeaky toys are a favorite, and oh yeah.... Food is the best thing ever!

Humane Society of South Central Michigan's Adoption Policy
You MUST submit all applications through our website, www.hsscm.org. We do NOT receive queries from petfinder! All adoptions begin with an application. If you are interested in adopting a dog, you need to first fill out an adoption application. Applications are available on our website under the 'adoption' tab or at our shelter on Watkins Road. After your application is processed and approved, we have you go into an adoption counsel with one of our staff members. During your counsel, we will talk to you about the dog that you are interested in, answer any questions you may have, and let you spend some one-on-one time with the pet. If you have another dog in the home, we will also do a dog-to-dog match-up before you fill out the adoption paperwork. Home visits are occasionally required, depending on the pet.
