Summer's Story

Summer!
This adorable little (approx 15 lb and 2 years old) mini poodle, or mix thereof, came to us as a cast off from a commercial breeding operation. We never know the reason for the surrender, and don't really care to be totally honest, we just know that Summer deserves so much more out of life than to be a money maker for humans.

Summer is fairly social with people already, given her history, and will wiggle her whole body and dance on her hind legs when she is excited about something. Although she seems to really like all people, especially kids, she really becomes animated and even more confident in the presence of other dogs. We are willing to consider patient adopters with no other dogs currently, but really would love to see her go to a home with another friendly dog. Even better would be if she were able to be adopted with her mom dog, Skye, posted separately.

Summer is good in crate. She is working on basic dog skills like walking on a leash (definitely still a work in progress, but thankfully she is tiny enough that you can scoop her up and carry her on the moments when it isn't going too well) and housebreaking, but will need a patient and understanding adopter that will continue to teach her these skills, among others.

Adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date preventatives, spay, and microchip.

Interested in adopting Summer? Apply at: www.dogtownrescue.org. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Please note: An approved application and appointment are required to meet any of our dogs.

Dog Town Rescue 1553 Bethlehem Pike, Hatfield, PA 19440
PA Kennel License #12275
