Meet SULLY <br/><br/>Sully is a sweet, quiet 2-year-old, 14-pound Shih Tzu who absolutely lights up when he sees his people.<br/><br/>I was told he likes kids, but I found it took him a few days to warm up to us-his foster mom and dad. At first, he preferred to quietly observe everything going on around him before deciding we were worthy of his trust. Honestly... I kind of respect that.<br/><br/>Because Sully takes a little time to settle into new places and around new people, I think his most ideal home would be a quieter one without small children or a lot of hustle and bustle.<br/><br/>Sully has already been rehomed twice. The first time because his family couldn't afford the care he needed (vetting and grooming), and the second time because they "didn't have the time."<br/><br/>He needs someone willing to take him out into the world, help him build confidence, and show him that new people and new places aren't so scary. This also means having a groomer who is willing to earn his trust so he can be groomed as he's currently only been groomed by those he knows in the home. Just as importantly, he needs someone who understands that housetraining isn't something that's going to happen overnight-it will take patience, consistency, and a commitment to seeing it through.<br/><br/>Sadly, one of the top reasons dogs lose their homes is because they aren't fully housetrained. I refuse to let that become Sully's story again.<br/><br/>What Sully has been missing is patience, structure, and someone who won't give up on him too soon.<br/><br/>Sully will thrive with crate training, tether training, a predictable routine, and lots of positive reinforcement. These aren't punishments-they're simply tools that will help him learn to hold his bladder and finally understand what is expected of him. Without that consistency, he'll continue finding himself in the heartbreaking cycle of people becoming frustrated, giving up on him, and being passed from home to home.<br/><br/>The best part?
