Sullivan's Story
Sullivan is a 4-month-old, 42-pound doodle mix who has never met a stranger! He absolutely loves people, wants to say hello to everyone he passes, and loves nothing more than getting affection and being close to his people.

He's a wonderful mix of playful and mellow. His favorite thing is a bouncy squeaky ball, which he loves to toss, pounce on, and chase all by himself. He also enjoys bully sticks and rubber chew toys. Sullivan is doing great on leash, usually walking right alongside his person without pulling. He takes correction very well and is eager to learn. He already knows sit, and we're working on keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting people. He's catching on quickly!

He's had very few accidents in his foster home and should continue to make great progress with consistency. Although he will protest for a short amount of time, Sullivan will settle nicely and sleep through the night. Sullivan is being fostered with two children, ages 5 and 10, and absolutely loves them. He has shown no resource guarding and has been a sweet, affectionate boy in his foster home.

Sullivan is smart, loving, playful, and just wants to be part of the family. Sullivan is being fostered in Staten Island, NY and his adoption fee is $575.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
