Suki's Story

This beautiful girl has one of those stories that breaks your heart but reminds you why we do what we do ?
Suki was found dumped among abandoned houses—alone, terrified, and shaking uncontrollably. When rescuers approached, she didn’t run… instead, she army-crawled toward safety, trembling the whole way. She was so scared that she urinated all over herself while trying to show she meant no harm ? It was one of those moments that sticks with you—when fear and hope meet at the same time.
We believe Suki is about a year old and likely an Australian Shepherd mixed with a Catahoula Leopard Dog. And despite everything she’s been through, she’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and craving love. ??
She’s learning what it feels like to be safe, to be wanted, and to be loved—and she’s making amazing progress every single day! ?
We are still fully getting to know Suki will be ready for adoption soon after she’s spayed, and we can’t wait to see her find the family she’s been waiting for all along.
? Our adoption policies are that the adopters are required to complete an adoption application. They are required to provide their vet, references, and have an understanding that their adoptive animal must be provided medical care, proper housing, food, water, and love. I call and chat with their references including the vet. There are required meet and greets with the adopters and other pets in the home if there are any. Then there is a home check as well as weekly checkins from the rescue staff.
