Stubbs's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Reintroducing Stubbs!

Stubbs is a fun mix of labrador retriever, golden retriever and chihuahua. He is almost four months old and is pretty petite so will probably be a medium size dog. He arrived from Tennessee and has nothing but love for his foster families. Stubbs is gentle, friendly, and when we say he likes to cuddle, this boy loves to cuddle. He is wonderful with other dogs, big and small. He has been gentle and sweet with every child he has met (a lot of them) and has had extended time with a toddler. He sleeps all night in his crate and walks really well on a leash. He has not had any accidents in the house when let out on a regular schedule. He loves meeting everyone on his walks and will roll on his back for a belly rub if he thinks you might be willing. If you have a deck chair in the sunshine, Stubbs can chill for hours.

Stubbs' ideal home would be with a family that has humans or other dogs home much of the time. He is a people/dog person for sure. If a family with children is looking for a gentle, kid friendly puppy, this is the guy. Stubbs would do best in a home with at least one other dog. He thrives in the company of other dogs and seems to always be cuddling up next to any dog he meets.

To apply for Stubbs contact Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York.

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
