Stuart's Story
Breed: Miniature Schnauzer
Gender: male
Date of Birth: 10/22/15
Approximate Age: 9 years
Approximate Weight: 18 pounds
Color: salt and pepper
Ear Type: natural
Tail Type: docked
Other distinctive markings or characteristics: none

Stuart’s champion is Deb. If you meet the requirements for his permanent home and have questions that are not answered on our website after you have submitted an adoption application, please contact her at schnauzerescue@yahoo.com.

Stuart is a friendly, affectionate, fun-loving guy. He is housetrained, crate trained, and harness trained. He is selective with meeting dogs and likes some, others – not so much. He loves his walks and wakes up every morning as a totally happy, goof ball who will climb right in your lap and cuddle! He is extremely adaptable and quite intelligent. He really enjoys playing with his toys. Stuart prefers big humans to little ones and so an adult only or home with older kids is best. He is on skin care food because he came into rescue with some dry, itchy skin and seems to be doing well on it.

Prior to placement, all dogs are spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, dewormed, and microchipped. Dogs also receive a dental cleaning, if needed, and are bathed/groomed before adoption.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must first complete our adoption application, which is available on our website at www.njsrn.org (click on the Adopt tab). Please be sure to include the dog’s name in the questions/comments section of the application. Answers to questions about NJSRN, our process for matching dogs to their permanent homes, and our guidelines for adoption donations can also be found on our website. If you have questions that are not answered on our website after you have submitted an adoption application, please contact the NJSRN champion listed above.

NJSRN covers NJ, PA, NY, CT, MD, DE, and surrounding states, and we will help any Miniature Schnauzer in need, regardless of age or health status. We are all volunteers and NJSRN always needs foster homes, transport assistance, and donations. If you would like to contribute to our rescue program, you can easily make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal at www.njsrn.org.
