Strudel's Story
Adoption Profile: Strudel

Meet Strudel — the cutest little low rider bully with a heart of gold. She’s a middle-aged gal (about 5–7 years old), spayed, house-trained, and thriving on love, fun, and tasty enrichment.

About Strudel

Age & Health:** Approximately 5–7 years old, spayed, up-to-date on vetting.
House & Training:** Fully house-trained, wonderfully crate trained (she goes in without a peep). Loves the car.
Temperament:** Extremely friendly with all people; excellent at making new friends. Currently living with another male pitty and they are best snuggle buddies. Needs slow intros but is dog friendly.
Energy & Focus:** Real drive when playing, but an excellent off switch. Great indoors with a calmer environment; starting to show drive outdoors with supervision.
Intelligence & Training:** Clicker trained; very brainy and responsive. Knows “sit” and is learning “down.” A true “brainiac” who thrives on training sessions.
Snuggle Level:** Very snuggly and affectionate. Loves couch snuggles under a warm blanket.
Crate Manners:** Brings her Kongs directly to her crate — a sign of good motivation and self-control.
Bite/Snack Stash:** Underbite is adorable; tongue is often visible and ready for a little squeeze.
Vibe:** Quiet and calm most of the time; would be a fantastic apartment dog due to her low bark and serene demeanor.
Prey Drive:** High prey drive; not a candidate to live with cats or small animals.

Ideal Home for Strudel

House Type:** would be a great candidate for apartment type living, originally came from NYC so nothing phases her.
Family:** A dog-savvy home with children who understand respectful dog interactions (she’s great with people but supervision is recommended with young kids).
Other Pets:** Best as a solo or with confident, dog-experienced canine companions. Definite candidate for a home with another large dog friendly me. Not suitable for homes with cats or small animals due to high prey drive.
Exercise & Enrichment:** Regular, short play sessions to satisfy her drive, plus ongoing training to keep her mentally engaged. She enjoys ball play for a few minutes and then happily settles.
Living Style:** A warm, cozy spot for couch snuggles is a must. She’s happiest when she can curl up under a blanket with you.

Why Strudel Would_be Perfect For You

She’s a loving, loyal companion who thrives on consistent routines and positive reinforcement training.
Her dual nature — a responsive, trainable brain and a calm, cuddly companion — makes her a wonderful balance for households seeking a dog that loves both play and quiet, cozy downtime.
She’s crate trained, well-mannered, and quiet indoors, making her a low-maintenance fit for many living situations.
Her affectionate snuggling and desire for human connection will bring warmth and joy to the right family.

Quick Facts

Training: Clicker-trained; knows sit; learning down.
Exercise: Short bursts of activity; big emphasis on mental stimulation.
Behavior: Quiet; great with people; good with other dogs; not good with cats/small animals.
Special traits: Adorable underbite and a tongue that’s always ready for a squeeze.

Adoption Steps

Currently located in Fairfield, CT but available to travel.
