Stoney's Story
Meet Stoney, aka “Stone Cold”—the comeback king with a glow-up and a personality that unlocks like a secret level once he trusts you.

At around 1–1.5 years old, this mixed-breed mystery man (Jack Russell? Poodle? Shih Tzu? Pit Bull? honestly... who knows) is the perfect medium size and likely won't be more than 30–35 pounds. He came into rescue at just 21 lbs, but after good food, love, and some TLC, he's now thriving, neutered, fully vetted, and living his best life.

Stoney's true superpower is other dogs—they're his confidence coaches, best friends, and personal hype squad. He absolutely needs a dog buddy in his forever home, and once another pup gives you their approval, Stoney is usually ready to make you his person. His favorite zoomie partner? His tiny 8-pound foster sibling.

He's great with dogs of all sizes, cat-friendly, and would do best with older, dog-savvy kids who understand boundaries (no in your face kids). He's house trained (has the ocassional accident), loves car rides, and has recently discovered toys—which he now hoards in his crate like tiny treasures.

And food? Stoney takes snacks very seriously. He would absolutely win gold in competitive eating if it were a dog sport. He eats in his crate, loves his slow feeder, and will happily sprint there if you even mention dinner.

When left alone, he may whine a bit, but he settles quickly. Once he trusts you (which takes like 2.7 minutes), he becomes the sweetest little shadow—equal parts playful sidekick and professional couch snuggler.

Stoney is looking for a patient, loving home with another dog, plenty of snacks, lots of zoomies, and humans ready to help him keep building confidence. Trust us—this guy is worth the wait.

If you're ready to give a deserving pup the love and guidance he needs, Stoney might just be your perfect match.

If you want to apply to adopt please go to https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2686304&name=Stoney

Together, we're saving lives—one by one!

One By One Rescue is an all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit foster based rescue.
