Stone's Story

Stone came in as an owner surrender on 6/20/26.
This boy is BIG!! He is a XL American Bully and weighs 112 pounds!
He is 4 years old and thinks (and acts) like the biggest puppy we have ever seen.
Per his previous owner, he is housebroken, lived with cats and seems to like other dogs. Due to the fact he seems to not realize how big he is we are recommending no children under 16 in the home, no first-time dog owners and either someone who can handle walking a VERY strong dog the size of a small horse or someone with a fenced in yard.

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
