Stitch's Story

Say hello to Stitch, also known as Stitch-A-Roo or Stitchy Boy! He's a smart, loyal boy who is ready to find the special people he can call his own. Stitch can be a little cautious when meeting new people and prefers to take the lead on introductions, but once he has had a chance to sniff you out, his sweet side comes shining through. He absolutely loves belly rubs from those he knows and trusts.

Stitch has moderate energy and loves his daily walks, especially his 30-45 minute morning adventure. He walks well on leash and isn't bothered by other pedestrians or loud noises. When another dog passes by, however, Stitch gets excited and may pull because he simply can't wait to go over and say hello! He wants to sniff and play with cats and dogs, and shows no food or toy possessiveness.

At home, he enjoys lounging and playing catch. He is potty trained, good in the car, not picky with food, and non-destructive at night. He isn't a big fan of being confined or left alone, although he can stay in his crate for around four hours when needed. He doesn't mind a little excitement and can be vocal when someone arrives at the house, but once he has had a chance to sniff the newcomer, he settles in. Stitch knows several cues, including sit, stay, come, leave it, and no, and his intelligence and desire to please make him a wonderful candidate for continued training!

Stitch would love a home with a backyard and potentially a compatible dog sibling. Most of all, he is looking for patient people who will let him warm up at his own pace. In return, this playful, loving boy has all the makings of a devoted best friend!

Location: Oshawa, ON

Weight: 80 pounds

Age: 1 year

Male
Please visit our website www.fullcirclerescue.ca to learn more about this amazing pet and to see our other available dogs.
