Enrolling in puppy classes would be a fantastic way to help him build confidence and meet new pals in a structured way! <br/><br/>Learning the Ropes: He's a total blank slate! He'll need your help mastering the art of "doing his business" outside and learning how to walk politely on a leash. <br/><br/>Baby Steps: Everything is an adventure for Stitch. With a steady routine and plenty of positive reinforcement, he'll be your bravest companion in no time! <br/><br/>Stitch is looking for a family that enjoys the reward of watching a puppy grow into his best self. If you have some treats and a lot of heart, Stitch is ready to be your new shadow! <br/><br/>Ready to Adopt?<br/><br/>You have two options:<br/><br/>#1- VISIT IN PERSON<br/>Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter.<br/>(Puppies in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)<br/><br/>#2- ADOPT SIGHT UNSEEN<br/>If you're ready to adopt without meeting the puppy first, we can help over the phone or by email. (413) 781-4000 x 1 or email springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.<br/><br/>Puppies are adopted on a first come, first served basis, and we're not able to place holds on them.<br/><br/>All puppy adoption fees include: <br/>-spay/neuter<br/>-kennel cough vaccination<br/>-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)<br/>-microchip implanted & registered to adopter<br/>-treatment of fleas & ticks<br/>-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin<br/>-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians<br/>Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
