Meet Stewie!<br/><br/>He’s a bit too nice and easy and young and healthy and friendly and normal for us… but he needed a place to go so we took him anyway 😆 <br/><br/>He’s a really lovable almost 5 year old non-shedding mix who has been passed around, and most recently surrendered because his owners were gone 12 hours at a time and he was having separation anxiety and accidents when alone for too long. So he’s looking for someone who will be home with him more often than not, and definitely seems less anxious with another dog in the house. He checks all the boxes and has done well with dogs, cats, children, strangers, vets, and groomers in previous homes, a really happy friendly guy who thrives with social interaction. Some dogs can find his playful energy a bit annoying, and even though he is neutered he can be a bit of a humper so does best with dogs that can put him in his place. He was said to be Maltese/yorkie but we definitely see some Shih Tzu definitely with that underbite and crooked smile 😃, 15lbs full grown, neutered, updated on shots, well-cared-for, healthy and ready to move right into a home! <br/><br/>Email njwoof@cs.com to meet Stewie in Northern NJ!<br/><br/>Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
