Stevie's Story
When Stevie was found, he was in heartbreaking shape. Dumped at the shelter with his siblings and a litter of puppies, his eyes were nearly crusted shut, his fur was painfully matted, and he was missing patches of hair all over his body. It’s likely he spent years being used for breeding, never knowing the warmth of a loving home. We believe he's 6 or 7 years old.

But oh, how things have changed.

With a little TLC and a lot of love, Stevie has blossomed into the handsome gentleman he was always meant to be. He’s a larger Shih Tzu at 23 lbs, with a calm spirit and an old-soul kind of sweetness. He loves his crate, is fully house trained, and has been a perfect gentleman on outings. He's had professional training done, which will pass on to his new owner. Stevie is in a foster home and is friends with all of his foster buddies (canine and feline alike).

He does have chronic dry eye and will need lifelong eye drops—but don’t worry, he’s an easy patient and SO worth the extra care.

Now all Stevie needs is a soft place to land and someone who’ll never give up on him again.

Ready to give this gentle boy the forever he’s been waiting for?
