Stella in Colorado's Story

Meet Stella in Colorado

This little lady is full of personality and pizazz, and is sure to make you laugh and smile if you meet her. She loves her people, and definitely lives her life to the fullest which makes Stella lots of fun to be around. She’s a dachshund through and through!!!

Stella lives successfully with other dogs, but would do best in a home without feline friends. She bonds quickly to her humans and loves to be with them, but is happy to sleep on a dog bed on the floor next to their bed. She has responded well to house training, but is most successful when she has plenty of opportunities to get out to potty, and when she settles in and has learned her family’s routine and schedule.

Stella has a pep in her step, and is vibrant and healthy for a 10-year-old. She recently got spayed, had a few mammary masses removed and tested (benign), had a dental surgery with 10 extractions, and had a fistula repair. Unfortunately, the fistula repair did not hold (which is quite common) so we are happy to relay the oral care information that our veterinarian has recommended for Stella moving forward if you are interested in her. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and veterinary care, and all she needs now is a loving forever home and family of her own! If you are interested, please fill out the online adoption survey here:
https://www.olddogsnewdigs.com/adoption-survey/
