Stella's Story

Hi, I’m Stella — a sweet giant baby, less than a year old. Just like Scooby Doo, I’m a big scaredy cat and don’t like being approached by strangers, but I’m totally fine hanging out in public spaces. I’m getting more socialized every day and gaining confidence. I walk well on a leash and listen to firm commands. I need a home that will continue my training and set clear boundaries for me. Luckily, I’m very smart and very food motivated, which makes me a quick learner.
I’m still a big puppy, so I need long walks daily, but I’m happy napping in my crate for hours afterwards. Because of my size, it’s probably best I go to a home without small children, since I could hurt them on accident. I’ve never been aggressive with anyone, but I will back up and bark when I feel threatened. I’m not sure of my background, but I definitely prefer men over women.
I’m dog friendly and super playful with them. I haven’t met a cat, but I do want to chase squirrels and birds and butterflies. I’m potty trained, walk well on a leash, and I’m crate trained. I bark when I get startled or when someone makes me nervous, and I do have a fear of strangers.
Will you be my forever?
