Stella's Story

This lovely girl is Stella. Stella was found by a good Samaritan last September, scared and standing in the middle of the road, skinny and afraid. Her finder was able to get her into the car (no easy feat, because Stella's not super keen on car rides) and got her home safely. She was posted on social media, and reported to the shelter, but Stella had no microchip, and no one looking for her, even after a couple months of posting as Found.

With good food, and a dog buddy to play with, She's coming out of her shell. She's as sweet as they come, but can be shy/scared with new situations and new people (stranger danger), but once she's met you, she's fine. She seems fearful of men, although not all men, but not aggressive. Shes blossomed into a playful, affectionate girl with people she knows.

Stella is pretty much completely house trained now, and has also been spayed and vaccinated. Her finder tried crating her, but Stella was terrified of the crate and would not go in.

She and her Golden retriever foster sister play nicely together, but Stella's not a busy girl. Shes happy to lounge the day away, playing gently with her toys (she loves her toys!) and nap.

The vet estimated her at about 2 years old. This sweet girl is looking for a quiet home where she can be loved and adored. She would thrive with attention and training, and just wants to be your best friend. She will chase the bunnies in the yard, but doesn't seem to have a super keen prey drive, so could probably live with a cat if introduced properly (I mean S. L. O. W. L. Y.). Shes playful with her foster sister, and would do well with another dog in the home. She should be fine with older children as well (age 12 and above).

Currently in the Bothell/Woodinville area.

Apply to adopt Stella: https://forms.spdrdogs.org/Adoption/
Washington State, no interstate transports.
