Star's Story

Meet Star!

Star is a 4-year-old Pomsky weighing just about 30 pounds, and her name couldnt be more fitting -because despite everything shes been through, she still has the potential to shine so brightly.

Star is one of two dogs we took in on short notice from a puppy mill situation where we were told they were not safe. Its clear her life up until now has been incredibly difficult. She came to us scared and unsure, trying to make sense of a world thats completely new to her. While she is still very nervous, she has shown a gentle and trusting side by allowing all handling - a quiet sign of her resilience and willingness to learn that people can be kind.

Star is looking for a patient, experienced, and deeply compassionate home that will give her the time she needs to feel safe. She will need adopters who understand shy, undersocialized dogs and are prepared to go at her pace while helping her build confidence step by step.

Because she is a flight risk at this time, her future family must be committed to strict safety measures, including a secure collar, harness, and double-leashing whenever she is outside. For the foreseeable future, she should not be off-leash or free in a yard. Her safety, and her ability to continue learning that the world can be a safe place, depends on it. A tracking collar, just in case, would be amazing.

Star doesnt need perfection, she just needs someone willing to show her, day by day, that her life from here on out will be filled with stability, love, and kindness. With the right home, we truly believe Star will begin to blossom into the dog she was always meant to be.

She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.

Apply for adoption at www.phoenixanimalrescue.com
Adoption fee: $400

Phoenix Animal Rescue
Chester Springs, Pa
Kennel License #5152
