Stali's Story
Basics
Dogs Name: Stali (female)
Age / Size: 1.5 years old, 24 pounds
Rescued in Texas

Foster Note

Stali is a silly, sweet, and sniff-tastic girl who is genuinely one of a kind. She is a quick learner and adapts beautifully, as long as consistent boundaries are in place. She knows "sit and has been picking up new things steadily - she's VERY food motivated, which makes it so much easier for her to pick up new things quickly.

Outside, she is nose-down and completely immersed with the smells of the neighborhood. At the dog park, shell run the perimeter (for smells, of course), and then initiate dog play to the point where all the dogs will be chasing her. (She runs like a gazelle, I swear). In just a few days she's become very good on a leash too.

When shes indoors, shell be your shadow. Also, she likes to be a cuddle bug on her terms, and when she does, shell pretzel her way to get in the most comfortable position (for her), and wants all the pets you can give her.

She sleeps through the night in her crate without a peep. And when she has to go out, shell whine to let you know. It's honestly an impressive potty cue she figured out on her own.

She doesn't bark. Not in the apartment, not with new dogs, not with new people. She loves meeting everyone and can be a little overly enthusiastic about it, but with proper boundaries in place, she has done wonderfully.

A few things to know: she will silently judge you while you eat. (shell even get on the couch for a better vantage point to watch me eat). The eyes are devastating. Do not give in. She also enjoys play, though in shorter bursts at the moment. Her current toy of choice is a croissant plushie!

She handled her bath like a total pro (peanut butter was on standby and she was absolutely thrilled about it), and the second it was over, she launched into the most adorable, chaotic, hilarious zoomie session. It is a sight to be seen.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt Stali, apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt.truenorthrescue@gmail.com to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE.
