Stacks's Story

Meet Stacks!

Stacks is a 2–3-year-old American Bulldog mix weighing 66 pounds, and if we had to describe him in one word, it would be...

TEENAGER.

This big goofy boy has zoomies, opinions, energy, and absolutely no interest in getting out of bed before he's ready. Stacks is NOT a morning person and would happily sleep until around 10 AM. Try waking him up earlier and he will make sure you know he strongly disagrees with your decision.

But once he's up? LET'S GO!

Stacks LOVES his walks and never seems to get tired of exploring. He also LOVES bubbles and could chase them forever.

He does well with a confident female dog who can match his energy and would likely enjoy having a canine buddy who can keep up with his teenage antics.

Stacks can be a little unsure of new people, so slow introductions are best. Recently, he met the veterinarian and her partner and did wonderfully! He wore a muzzle as a precaution, but he never tried to lunge or cause a problem. He allowed the veterinarian to touch him, examine him, and handle him without an issue. That tells us that with patience, proper introductions, and someone willing to let him build trust at his own pace, Stacks can absolutely show you what a good boy he is.

Once you're one of his favorite humans, he LOVES to love on you. He also loves his treats!

And one of his funniest habits? Stacks likes to “tell secrets.” He'll happily have a little conversation with you in his own special way.

He's still working on some manners, including leash biting with certain people. A chain leash works much better for him and keeps him from turning the leash into his personal chew toy.

Stacks is also still working on house training. He currently has accidents in his kennel fairly often, but with a consistent routine and structure, we believe he can make great progress.

Stacks is goofy, energetic, affectionate, hilarious, and just enough trouble to keep life interesting.

If you're looking for a big Bulldog boy with zoomies, bubbles, walks, secrets, and a serious commitment to sleeping in, Stacks might just be your guy.
