Spuds's Story

Well, hullo there. I'm Spuds, a deaf 5-year-old male Boxer mix. My otherworldly tongue and I can't wait to meet you! I'm a squishy, soulful, unique fella who loves to be loved. I was in a Stones cover band for a while, actually, but no one believed I was Mick Jagger. I guess my tongue's longer than his?! These days, I'm more of a couch potato/'Spuds on the Sofa' kind of guy. I'm happy to share!

Now that I've gotten some HoBo love, I'm starting to accept myself: huge head, duck-footed paws, lopsided smile and all. I'm one of a kind, they say. A living, snoring Mr. Potato Head, ergo, Spuds, the goofiest tater tot in the West! I try and try everyday, but they say I can't get any cuter.

I'm fairly squishy and totally sweet, especially sweet on you. In fact, I get very attached to new friends. The shelter caretakers loved me, and my foster does, too. I'm just wondering who will love me forever and everr? Make me theirs? I'd love to find that feeling in my lifetime.

Fun Fact about me: I love to dress up! Cowboy on the range–I'm a little bowlegged from the saddle; black tie treat affair; Mick Jagger on ‘Tongue Out Tuesday' (or any other day that ends in y). I'm a costume contest aficionado.

I'll sit pleasantly for treats, and for quite some time. Like any worthy potato, I got nowhere to be, and all day to get there. Country song, right? Tipping my cowboy hat your way.

I write this with the most sincere wishes that you'll finally find me and bring me home. Don't have to be your one and only, but I only have big eyes for you.

Baked, mashed, or with a pat of better, this Spuds is for you.

XOXO, won't you be mine?

Spuds

********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********

If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application.
