Meet Spooky!<br/><br/>Spooky is one tiny Halloween cutie who is ready to haunt somebody’s couch for years to come.<br/><br/>She is currently about 9 weeks old and weighs around 4 lbs. She’s settling into her foster home in Millsboro, Delaware, and is already showing off her sweet personality! She’s a playful little girl who loves to have fun but also enjoys snuggling up for some cuddles. She’s the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweetness!<br/><br/>Based on Mom’s appearance and Spooky’s petite build and markings, our best guess is that Spooky is a Terrier mix, possibly with Chihuahua or another small breed mixed in. Dad is unknown.<br/><br/>Spooky has the sweetest black, white, and tan face with little eyebrows that make her expressions even more adorable. She is still just a baby, so we will learn much more about her individual personality once she arrives in foster care.<br/><br/>Her forever family will need to be prepared for normal puppy life, including potty training, crate training, leash skills, socialization, chewing, puppy energy, and helping her learn how to navigate the big world around her.<br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application:<br/><br/>https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog<br/><br/>Her adoption fee is $550.<br/><br/>Because Spooky is too young to be altered prior to adoption, all puppy adoptions require a signed spay/neuter contract. The adopter agrees to have the puppy spayed at approximately 6 months of age. The adopter is responsible for scheduling and paying for the procedure. Paws Deep Animal Rescue does not cover the cost of the spay.<br/><br/>Once proof of spay is provided to the rescue, $100 of the adoption fee will be returned to the adopter via PayPal or check.<br/><br/>Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters in Texas or directly from the streets of South Texas. The adoption fee helps cover transportation to our foster homes, age-appropriate core vaccines, deworming, microchip, heartworm testing when age appropriate, and other veterinary and rescue expenses.<br/><br/>We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. Every adoption includes a complimentary First Exam at a participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. VCA also provides limited health guarantee coverage of up to $250 for certain minor illnesses diagnosed during that initial period.<br/><br/>We do not guarantee the breed of any of our dogs or how large they will be when fully grown. Breed listings are our best guess based on appearance, known parentage when available, and personality traits. We also cannot guarantee that any rescue dog is not mixed with pit bull.<br/><br/>Paws Deep Animal Rescue is a nonprofit rescue. Any excess revenue is used to care for animals with additional medical needs and allows us to continue helping dogs who may otherwise be left behind.
