He’s a low-energy guy who would be happy in either a quiet home or a busier household.<br/>He enjoys short walks and is great at entertaining himself. If he’s feeling bored, he’ll do a little patrol around the house to make sure everything is in order before settling back down for a nap. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys, but he is very food motivated!<br/>Spike has spent his entire life living with other dogs and enjoys having a canine companion to wander the yard with, but we also think he’d be perfectly content as the only dog in the home.<br/>He’s the perfect “just happy to be with you” kind of dog. Spike likes being in the same room as his people but is independent and never demanding. If you’re relaxing on the couch, he’ll either claim his own cozy spot or curl up nearby. While he isn’t needy, he absolutely loves affection when it’s offered—especially belly rubs!<br/>Spike is also a fantastic listener with excellent recall. He understands “no” and responds well, making him an easy companion to have around.
