Spicy- #50795's Story
D50795 We have enjoyed having Spicy hanging out with us in our front office. She greets visitors, is friendly and she loved children she met. Spicy is Husky, only 2 yrs old and is medium sized at 43lbs. If you are confident and have experience training a dog, then you will not have a problem with this lovely dog. Spicy needs to run each day and she loves to play with another dog if you have one. She has no problem correcting the other dog if she is done playing and they are being too rough. She likes to be in charge of the dog toys too. If you give her a kiddie pool, Spicy will hop in to cool off. Spicy enjoys her walks to explore and she does very well waiting to go potty until we take her outside. She loves to learn and would enjoy doing tricks. She knows sit, down, paw, wait, outside and hungry.

Spicy is smart and if you are not confident and firm, she will slip past you at the door and will be a step ahead of you. If you are confident, get her attention and tell her to wait, she will wait. As good as she does with children, you will need a strict rule for the kids, not to open the door until Spicy is on a leash, so she doesn't run outside.

Spicy is an active, curious girl who loves to explore. A gate is just a puzzle to her to try to open. (needs a lock) She is a fun, smart dog that will make you smile and laugh. If you have not owned dogs before, Spicy might not be your best match. Spicy gets vocal when she is left, but will eventually settle. She would not be a good match for an apartment/condo/townhome since you will share a wall with a neighbor.

You can visit this pet during our Animal Viewing Hours below.
Applications are accepted in person after you meet them.
You can call first to see if they are still available. 410-313-2780 Option 0.

Location:
Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center
8576 Davis Rd
Columbia, MD 21045

Animal Viewing Hours:
Mon, Wed, Fri 10:00-4:30 (Closed at 2:30 the last Friday of each month)
Tues & Thurs 1:30-6:45
Sat 10:00-2:00 (Closed on county observed holidays
