SPICE

MEET SPICE!

Spice has a story that brought him all the way from Mississippi to Lucky Dog Refuge, and now he’s ready to find the forever home he deserves!

A number of years ago, Spice was hit by a car and surrendered to a veterinary clinic when his owner couldn’t afford his medical care. The clinic took him in and made him their very own clinic dog. But eventually, everyone agreed that Spice deserved a family of his own. That’s when Lucky Dog was asked to help!

About a month ago, we welcomed Spice to Connecticut when we had space available, and we couldn’t be happier to have him here.

Spice is the SWEETEST boy, and he’s been doing wonderfully in his foster home! He currently lives in an apartment building in Harbor Point and is showing us that he could be a great fit for apartment living or a home in a quiet neighborhood.

Spice’s dream? To be close to his people.

A work-from-home household or a retired person who wants a loyal companion would be right up his alley. He loves having his humans around and would be thrilled to spend his days hanging out with his favorite people.

What about other dogs? Spice has been very dog-friendly with his foster. However, back in Mississippi, he struggled with an introduction to another large, intact male dog. As always, we want to set him up for success with thoughtful introductions and the right match.

What about adventures? Because of his previous leg injury, Spice prefers shorter walkies. He’s not looking for a marathon partner — just someone to enjoy the simple things in life with him!

Spice has been through a lot, and now it’s his turn to be someone’s best friend. Could this sweet boy be your new sidekick?

Apply to adopt Spice at luckydogrefuge.com! Our team will review your application and reach out to arrange a meet and greet.

We can’t wait to introduce you!

#LuckyDogRefuge #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #AdoptSpice #RescueIsMyFavoriteBreed
