When he first came to us, he was frightened and shut down, unsure of the world around him. Today, his personality is beginning to shine, and it's been a joy to watch him discover that life can be filled with good things.<br/><br/>One of Speed's favorite places is the play yard, where he happily explores, follows interesting scents, and enjoys spending time with his dog friends. He's also become quite good at reminding the staff if he thinks breakfast or dinner is running just a little behind schedule. He's not shy about voicing his opinion when food is involved!<br/><br/>Speed is still a little difficult to pick up, but each day he grows a little more trusting and a little more confident. He has already made incredible progress and simply needs a patient adopter who understands that confidence is built through kindness, consistency, and time.<br/><br/>Because he takes comfort from other dogs, Speed may do best in a home with a confident canine companion who can continue showing him how wonderful life can be.
