The two are a bonded pair and are looking for a home where they can stay together—just as they’ve always been.<br/><br/>Chloe, a red miniature dachshund, is Sparky’s partner-in-snuggles and resident blanket burrower. She’s affectionate, cozy-loving, and happiest tucked under the covers or curled up beside her people. Like any true dachshund, she’s also very food motivated and always ready for a treat.<br/><br/>Together, Sparky and Chloe are a calm, loving 12-year-old pair hoping to spend their golden years in a warm, steady home. They thrive with regular potty breaks and would do best with a consistent routine or someone home often.<br/><br/>They love:<br/>• Leisurely walks<br/>• Cozy blankets and warm beds<br/>• Snuggling with their people<br/>• Treats and mealtime (they’re big fans!)<br/><br/>They are crate trained, though they would much rather be curled up in bed with their humans. They don’t ask for much—just a soft place to land and the comfort of staying together.<br/><br/>In return, they offer gentle companionship, endless cuddles, and the quiet kind of love that makes a house feel like home.<br/><br/>Sparky and Chloe are being fostered in Utah.<br/><br/>Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue (RMDR) has foster families in Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. Please check the dogs' location before your apply to adopt them. You will need to pick them up. RMDR DOES NOT TRANSPORT THE DOGS TO YOU or transport them across state lines.<br/><br/>The Colorado Department of Agriculture requires that all dogs entering PACFA-licensed facilities have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days of entry. Dogs over three months of age must also have proof of a current rabies vaccination, including the vaccination date, manufacturer, and serial number listed on the CVI. Puppies must receive parvovirus and distemper vaccinations at least 14 days before entry.<br/><br/>These PACFA requirements may affect the adoption fee.
