Meet Spanky – Your New Best Friend! ?<br/> He is only a year old, full of energy and wants to play with all the other dogs, young and old. He is learning from the older ones that when they don’t want to play, they don’t, lol. I think he does best with other energetic souls who are the same size or bigger than him and match him with playful energy.<br/>He is not a barker, he barks only when he sees an intruder (like a deer, lol). He has gotten very good at walking on the leash. I am betting he would do great on hikes and runs.<br/>He is still learning mannerly things like not to jump up on people. He was very anxious when first rescued but gets more trusting every day; he is learning to love pets and cuddles. It is easy to see what a great companion he will become for his very own person!<br/>He is about the size of a beagle but with big feet due to the Bassett hound in him! The vet says he won’t get bigger.<br/>He is neutered and has had his vaccines, and we have 6 months of flea/tick meds and heartworm preventives for him.<br/>He loves Milk Bones! He is very gentle taking treats and snacks from your hand.
