Sophie was born around July 29, 2010, and weighs about 12 pounds. Sophie stole our hearts despite arriving in rough shape. Her previous owner could no longer care for her, leaving Sophie with overgrown nails, matted fur, a painful eye infection, and dental issues. Thankfully, with medical care and lots of TLC, this resilient girl has blossomed! She's now a sassy queen who rules the roost with an iron paw (and a healthy dose of charm). Sophie does have some age-related conditions, including arthritis and a developing cataract, but she's managing well on medication. Sophie is fine with other dogs, but overly rambunctious dogs might annoy her and the same goes for children. We are told she is fine with cats also. while adopting a senior pet often comes with heartbreak, the love and laughter Sophie brings are immeasurable.
