Meet Sooner
Sooner's story has broken our hearts. His story is as follows:
He was owned by an elderly man for six years. His grown son and daughter put him into a nursing home and put Sooner outside hoping he would walk away. He didn't..that was home...he just laid on the grass in the front yard for 10 days waiting for his owner to come home and he never did. The Realtor who was in charge of selling the home kept trying to get him off the property and he would not budge so they decided to call Animal Control. We got him before they could take him away.
He is sad and seems defeated. He is as sweet as they come. He is a very big boy..probably over a 100 lbs. Gentle Giant. He is good with other dogs and loves everyone. He just wants affection when he can get it and that's about all he desires.
Please no inquiries for him to be a 'working dog"...he does not and cannot be one after being treated as part of the family. He is precious and we want him to be loved for the rest of his life.
