Sonny 's Story

Sonny - update 6/11

Sonny is an 11-year-old Shih Tzu mix who is dog friendly and loves companionship. He would do best in a calm home without the stress of small children so he can truly relax and thrive. Sonny does have diabetes, so his foster will need to be comfortable giving insulin injections or willing to learn. Dont worry well provide supplies, guidance, and support every step of the way.

A cheerful pup who loves everybody person or dog - that he meets, Sonny is a Shiatzu mix, 11 & 12 years old. Though diabetic, at 15 pounds this lively pup is in great health. His diabetes meds are given twice a day via shots which he accepts calmly. Sonny is housebroken. He likes to play with toys and other dogs, but is happiest curled up next to you. Sonny currently goes to work at a pet clinic with his foster mom but can also be left alone for a few hours. If youd enjoy having an easy-going and affectionate little guy in your home, Sonny would love to meet you!

Sonny
Shih tzu mix.
Hes 11 years old and about 15.5 pounds. Hes good with dogs and babies. Im not sure about older kids but I think hed be ok. Hes not good around cats, likes to chase them. He is house trained but does need to go out more often while we get his diabetes under control. Hes a total sweetie and loves to snuggle on the couch! He does well in a crate overnight but will bark if left in the crate during the day.
