Sonja Boxer & Mastiff Mix Boiling Springs, PA

Sonja is a young energetic mastiff/boxer mix, who has adjusted to living in a foster home quite well! We’ve learned that this girl LOVES cuddling, and being covered up with a blanket, but be warned, she will whine at you if you hold the blanket up too long and let the cold air in! She’s also the Queen of the “side eye” anytime she doesn’t get her way. And she’s pretty good at the pouty lip too!

This girl LOVES to play and just romp around, so a fenced in yard, or at least a deck where she could lay out and sun herself on warm days would be perfect for her! She’s not a fan of the rain, but she will go out for walks or potty breaks, as long as it’s not pouring down raining.

Sonja will attempt to chase cats and other small animals, so a home without them would be best for her. We are still learning how she feels about other dogs, as there a few in her foster home, but they haven’t been fully introduced yet. She seems to really LOVE the one-on-one attention though, and she clearly doesn’t care that she’s almost 75lbs. If she can get into your lap, she’s getting on your lap!

Sonja is working on learning some basic obedience. She’s young and energetic so she’s still very bouncy and can be mouthy at times. She may not currently be the best fit for a home with young children, without some continued training. Sonja is completely potty trained and crate trained. She is still learning to walk nicely on leash, even when squirrels and rabbits tease her. She’s also working on sit, down, come when called, back up, and leave it.
