Solstice is the ultimate sweetheart with a gentle and loving temperament. This handsome, approximately one year old, yellow lab mix was found as a stray along with his sister in July and spent his initial weeks in the shelter before succumbing to a tough case of hookworms. That caused him to lose significant weight from his sleek frame. He was a quiet and meek pup in need of hearty meals (and a bath) before soon revealing his engaging personality. Eager for our company and lots of pets, along with the occasional silly playtime with a squeaky stuffed toy, Solstice won us over as a true gem of a dog. He is mastering the art of walking nicely on the leash, delighted to receive praise and attention as his motivator. He’s largely housebroken (with only a couple of accidents during his initial acclimation to our home) and is content to remain in his kennel for large stretches during the day and a full 10 hours at night. This happy dog will easily fit into your family life as he is calm and aims to please.
