Meet Snowman in KY - Gentle, Loving & Sweet!

Pleasant and sweet Snowman dreams of a loving family, a dog sibling or two, and a basket full of toys! The smile on his face is contagious! This handsome boy came into rescue with his brother after finding their way to a shelter as strays. Neither boy seemed to have had much training, but made up for it with their gentle, loving nature. Snowman has learned to walk on a leash, is great being groomed, catching on to being housebroken, is learning to readily go in/out of a crate, and has learned the “sit” command for a treat! So many more great things to learn—he just needs that PYRfect family to take him to the next level. This boy has a low-to-medium activity level and is very calm, so should do fine with children. He was initially shy with new people but is quickly learning that people equal pets, loving, and belly rubs—and he kind of really enjoys that! He relishes laying down with a stuffed toy and chilling in the house, but equally loves exploring the yard and checking out the boundaries, so it is safe to say “patroller of the yard” is in his future—he promises to keep his family safe! Snowman, an all-around good boy who enjoys life is looking for a home with a canine sibling to play a good game of tag in a big, fenced yard. A kitty would be ok too—if dog-savvy and doesn’t mind a nudge or two. This handsome boy will fit into most situations if love, patience, and attention are involved—what more can you ask for?

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
