Being she is on the larger side, it is very possible she could be a silky terrier, too.<br/><br/>She was surrendered because her owner was moving and could not take her. She is around 7 years old. Snowflake was really stressed at the shelter. She is a lap dog who would probably be best in a more quiet home with only one or two other dogs. She does do well with dogs and cats.<br/><br/>She can be quite timid when approached, but is a very friendly girl and would love to sit beside you on the couch or chair. She is still adjusting to her new surroundings and sometimes can be scared easily. <br/><br/>She's doing very well going to the bathroom outside, will even look for the door to be open for her. You will need to keep an eye on her if she does not have that quick access. She really does love being outside wandering around the yard rolling in the grass. I feel she would thrive with a small backyard fenced in yard. She does not mind being in the crate, even rolls over and sleeps no problem in it. She also loves to sleep in bed with you, pushed up against you. <br/><br/>Overall, she is very sweet girl with a good personality. I have yet to see her act up with my dogs, the cat, or any person. I hope you're the one to give her a loving home who needs a fresh new start. <br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
